Princess Al-Jawhara bint Fahd bin Mohammed bi n Abdul Rahman Al Saud, PhD
HH the Princess became the first rector of the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University with His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz's decision to restructure the university in 1426 AH. Dr. Al-Jawhara led the major restructuring efforts in colleges throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 102 colleges at that time. She supervised laying the foundation for the university campus, built on more than 8 million square meters. Dr. Al-Jawhara established a number of colleges and new specializations, in addition to the restructured colleges, according to labor market requirements.
Before assuming the post of PNU Rector, Dr. Al-Jawhara bint Fahd bin Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud was Assistant Rector of Academic Affairs at the Vice Rectorate of Girls' Colleges, where she was responsible for managing the academic affairs for all girls' colleges throughout KSA. Prior to this post, she was Dean of the College of Education for Girls in Riyadh, Assistant Professor in the Arabic Language and Literature Department in the same college. She also supervised and refereed a number of Masters and PhD theses.
HH Princess Al-Jawharabint Fahd bin Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud obtained a BA in Art and Education, majoring in the Arabic Language and minoring in Religious Sciences from the College of Education for Girls in Riyadh (1393/94 AH). HH also holds a High Diploma in Arabic, majoring in grammar, from the College of Education for Girls in Riyadh (1396/97 AH). HH was the first graduate to obtain a Master's Degree in Art, Arabic Language, and the first graduate with a PhD in Art, Arabic Language, majoring in Grammar from the College of Education for Girls in Riyadh.
